Some experiences stay memorable not because of one particular moment, but because of everything that happens along the way. SMALATRA was one of those experiences for me.
SMALATRA was a Leadership Training Program (LDKS) for prospective OSIS and MPK members at SMA Negeri 2 Cikarang Selatan. The program was designed to develop leadership, responsibility, teamwork, discipline, and other qualities needed to become part of a student organization.
I was involved in the Material Division, where I helped prepare and organize the materials that would be delivered by the speakers throughout the program. I also had the opportunity to be involved in the OSIS and MPK selection process, particularly during the interview stage, where I served as one of the interviewers for the prospective members.
Being on the other side of an interview was an interesting experience. It taught me to listen carefully, ask relevant questions, observe different perspectives, and understand how important it is to identify individuals who are ready to take on responsibility and contribute to an organization.
Beyond the responsibilities, SMALATRA was also a memorable experience because we stayed overnight at school and went through a variety of activities together. From the preparation behind the scenes to the moments we shared throughout the program, every part of it became a valuable learning experience.
Looking back, SMALATRA gave me more than just committee experience. It allowed me to contribute to the development of future student leaders while also learning more about leadership, communication, preparation, and working with people.
