From Debate to Solution: Representing Indonesia at the SDGs Student Forum

Back on May 23, 2026, at MNC University, Jakarta, I had the incredible opportunity to join the Indonesian SDGs Student Forum and got to experience something truly exciting. At that time, I was entrusted to be part of the Indonesia team, where we analyzed the challenges and progress of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at home. The best part was the interactive discussion and debate format with the Vietnam delegation. We threw challenges back and forth asking them for solutions since they’ve made impressive progress in certain SDGs, while also helping each other unpack and solve our respective hurdles. My specific focus during the session was on SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). It really opened my eyes to how much homework we still have regarding urban planning and environmental issues in our cities, but it also showed me just how massive the potential is for youth to drive real change. Being surrounded by such brilliant people who genuinely care about the future of our planet was truly eye-opening. Such an unforgettable journey! 🏙️✨
